Job description

Advantage Chevrolet of Bridgeview is seeking an Assistant Service Manager / Dispatcher with Automotive dealership service. This position is ideal for a Service Advisor looking to advance into leadership or an Assistant Service Manager with dispatch or flow-control experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispatch repair orders to technicians based on skill set and shop availability
  • Manage service lane workflow to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Support the Service Manager with daily operational needs
  • Coordinate communication between advisors and technicians
  • Monitor job status to help ensure on-time completion
  • Maintain accurate documentation and repair order flow
  • Assist with CSI, Follow-ups, and process improvements

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of automotive dealership service department experience REQUIRED
  • Prior experience as a Service Advisor, Dispatcher, or Assistant Service Manager preferred
  • Understanding of technician dispatching and shop workflow
  • Experience working in a high-volume service department
  • Familiarity with DMS systems (CDK, Xtime, or similar) is a plus
