Workforce Development Coordinator

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOnboarding & New Employee Orientation
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for all new hire onboarding activities.
  • Schedule, organize, and facilitate New Employee Orientation (NEO).
  • Ensure all required pre-employment documentation is completed prior to employee start dates.
  • Coordinate and monitor pre-employment requirements including:
    • Drug screenings
    • Background checks
    • License and certification verification
    • Employment eligibility documentation
    • Health screenings and immunization requirements
  • Maintain onboarding checklists and ensure timely completion of all onboarding tasks.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, system access, training, and resources before their start date.
  • Communicate regularly with new hires regarding onboarding requirements, orientation schedules, and employment expectations.
  • Track onboarding progress and follow up on outstanding requirements.
  • Maintain accurate onboarding records and employee files in accordance with organizational policies.
Workforce Development
  • Coordinate workforce development programs designed to support employee growth and career advancement.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of employee training initiatives.
  • Support internal workforce development programs, including certification, apprenticeship, residency, and career pathway programs.
  • Coordinate employee participation in educational and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain training records and workforce development databases.
  • Assist with employee competency tracking and continuing education requirements.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify workforce development needs and training opportunities.
Compliance & Record Management
  • Ensure onboarding and workforce development activities comply with federal, state, and organizational requirements.
  • Maintain confidential employee records in accordance with HIPAA and personnel record retention requirements.
  • Monitor onboarding compliance metrics and provide reports as requested.
  • Assist with audits related to employee files, onboarding documentation, and workforce development records.
  • Ensure required documentation is completed and properly maintained.
Employee Support & Engagement
  • Serve as a resource for new employees regarding onboarding processes, policies, and benefits enrollment timelines.
  • Assist in creating a positive onboarding experience that promotes employee engagement and retention.
  • Coordinate employee recognition and workforce engagement activities as assigned.
  • Foster positive relationships with employees, managers, and organizational leaders.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Prepare reports related to onboarding, workforce development, and employee training activities.
  • Maintain calendars, schedules, and communications related to onboarding and workforce development programs.
  • Assist with special projects and workforce initiatives as assigned.
  • Participate in meetings and committees related to employee development and organizational growth.
Other Duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Director or designee.

Education and ExperienceRequired:
  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Healthcare Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in human resources, employee onboarding, training coordination, workforce development, or related field.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Education, or related field.
  • Experience in healthcare, community health centers, or workforce development programs.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, onboarding best practices, and employee development principles.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of onboarding processes and employee lifecycle management.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment including computers, printers, and telephones.
  • Ability to travel between MedLink Georgia locations as needed.

Work Environment

Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment with occasional travel to MedLink Georgia locations for orientation, training, and workforce development activities.
