Job description

Description:
  • The Program Coordinator – Workforce, Outreach & Development supports the implementation of the Uplift Her initiative and TANF-funded workforce programming through community outreach, participant engagement, event coordination, grant support, and business development activities. This position works closely with the Director of Uplift Her to expand community partnerships and ensure successful program delivery.
  • Essential Responsibilities
  • Conduct outreach and recruitment to engage TANF-eligible adults and connect them with workforce development services.
  • Support participant enrollment, retention, referrals, and follow-up.
  • Assist participants with employment applications, interview preparation, employer referrals, and career readiness.
  • Coordinate business development meetings and maintain partner communications.
  • Provide planning and logistical support for Uplift Her meetings, events, and community initiatives.
  • Assist the Director of Uplift Her with grant implementation, reporting, documentation, and administrative tasks.
  • Maintain participant records, prepare reports, and support grant compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Required

  • Two (2) years of experience in program coordination, community outreach, workforce development, nonprofit programming, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Public Health, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience with TANF, grant-funded programs, workforce development, or community engagement.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel locally for meetings, outreach activities, and events.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during community events.
