Short Description

The Workforce Development Associate provides administrative and programmatic support to workforce development initiatives, helping team members access training, career pathways, and professional development opportunities. This entry-level role assists in coordinating programs, maintaining partnerships, and supporting career readiness activities that contribute to team member growth and organizational talent development.

 

  • Program & Administrative SupportProvide administrative support for workforce development programs, including scheduling meetings, maintaining records, tracking participation, and preparing materials for training sessions and workshops.
  • Career Development SupportAssist with collecting and organizing information related to team members' training needs, career interests, and development goals. Support workforce development team in preparing for career counseling sessions.
  • Workshop & Event CoordinationSupport the planning and coordination of workshops, job readiness sessions, and workforce development events, including logistics, registration, and participant communication.
  • Talent Pipeline & Internal Mobility SupportAssist in connecting team members with internal opportunities by sharing job postings, coordinating interviews, and supporting application processes under the guidance of the Director of Workforce Development and the Workforce Development Specialist.
  • Data Tracking & ReportingMaintain accurate program data, track outcomes (e.g., participation, placements, completions), and assist in preparing reports for leadership and grant requirements.
  • Partnership CoordinationSupport communication with educational institutions, training providers, and community partners by scheduling meetings, maintaining contact lists, and assisting with outreach efforts.
  • Grant & Research SupportAssist with basic research on workforce development grants and funding opportunities and help gather required information and documentation for applications and reporting.
  • General HR & Project SupportProvide support for special projects, HR initiatives, and department coverage as needed, including assisting with events, and cross-functional projects.
  • Experience Required

    One year clerical experience preferred but not required.

    Education Requirements

    Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
