Workday Integration Developer
Location: San Antonio, Texas (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking a senior-level Workday Integration Developer specializing in the Payroll domain. In this role, you will design, build, and support data streams connecting Workday to external payroll vendors and banking institutions. You will work within an Agile framework to deliver robust integrations using Studio, Core Connectors, and EIBs. This position requires technical expertise combined with a functional understanding of payroll data logic.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy end-to-end Workday integrations connecting Core HCM and Payroll to third-party providers.
  • Build custom, high-complexity integrations in Workday Studio to handle specific banking formats.
  • Configure and maintain Core Connector: Payroll Interface (CCPI) and modern PECI frameworks, utilizing the Payroll Effective Change Engine to manage retroactive adjustments.
  • Develop EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builders) for high-volume inbound data loads, including external payroll results, tax documents, and general ledger journal entries.
  • Write complex XSLT code within Document Transformations (DT) to transform Workday XML into the precise formats required by external vendors.
  • Build advanced Workday Custom Reports and calculated fields to manipulate payroll, deduction, and tax data.
  • Participate in an Agile environment, delivering technical solutions based on sprint user stories and collaborating in daily stand-ups.
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of dedicated experience developing integrations specifically for Workday Payroll, Payroll Interface, or Global Payroll.
  • Proficiency building custom Studio integrations with advanced error-handling and multi-API routing logic.
  • Knowledge of Core Connector Payroll Interface (CCPI), PECI, and Inbound/Outbound EIB architectures.
  • Skills in XSLT 2.0/3.0 and XML manipulation to format vendor schemas.
  • Mastery of Custom Reporting, Calculated Fields, and creating secure Integration Security Users (ISU/ISSG).
  • Experience developing and delivering technical assets within an Agile/Scrum team.
  • Must be local or willing to work onsite.
