POSITION SUMMARY:

The Workday Support Administrator provides day-to-day administration and support for the Workday platform, including troubleshooting user issues, resolving support tickets, assisting with basic configuration updates, and supporting reporting and system maintenance activities. This role works closely with Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, and other business stakeholders to support business needs and help ensure Workday operates effectively. The position requires a working knowledge of business processes and system configuration, along with strong problem-solving, customer service, and troubleshooting skills.

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide Tier 1 support for Workday questions, requests, and system issues, including basic troubleshooting and issue resolution.

Manage Workday support tickets through ServiceNow by triaging, prioritizing, tracking, and resolving incidents, service requests, enhancements, and defect reports in a timely manner.

Support updates to Workday business processes, security roles, organizations, and tenant configurations

Assist with the configuration and testing of Workday functionality, including business process updates, notifications, validations, and calculated fields.

Assist with Workday releases by reviewing new features, assessing impacts, and coordinating testing activities.

Review system processes and recurring issues to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.

Investigate and resolve system errors, security issues, data discrepancies, and business process concerns.

Escalate complex issues to internal teams, Workday Support, or third-party partners as appropriate.

Update Workday training materials, user guides, job aids, and process documentation to support end users and system adoption.

Provide support to HR, Payroll, Finance, Managers, and team members regarding Workday functionality.

Create and maintain Workday reports and assist business users in identifying reporting requirements and solutions to support operational needs.

Assist in the maintenance of Workday security roles and user access in accordance with established security procedures.

Perform regular audits and validation activities to ensure data accuracy.

Support Workday enhancement projects, implementations, and optimization initiatives through testing, documentation, and data validation.

Assist with communicating system changes, enhancements, and process improvements to stakeholders.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance employee and manager experiences.

Perform other functions as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.

Experience:

A minimum of two years of experience supporting Workday or another HRIS platform is required; direct Workday experience is preferred.

Experience supporting one or more HRIS functional areas, such as Core HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking and Absence, Learning, or Financial Management.

Workday Pro certification(s) or Workday training in relevant modules is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Basic knowledge of Workday integrations and Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs).

Working knowledge of Workday calculated fields, custom reports, and dashboards.

General understanding of Workday security concepts and business process framework.

Experience using ServiceNow or a similar IT service management (ITSM) platform for ticket management and support operations.

Knowledge of HR, Payroll, and/or Finance business processes.

Personal Skills:

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.

Demonstrates a strong commitment to client service.
