Position Summary

Phenom Cloud is actively seeking a highly motivated and client-focused Workday Business Consultant with strong functional expertise across Workday Core HR, Payroll, Compensation, Learning, and Talent. The ideal candidate brings proven implementation or optimization experience within enterprise Workday environments and is highly skilled in translating complex HR and workforce requirements into effective, scalable Workday solutions.

This role requires deep functional knowledge of Workday HCM, experience delivering cross-functional configurations, and strong capability with Workday reporting—BIRT, Composite Reports, PRISM Analytics, Dashboards, and Worksheets. You will collaborate closely with clients, architects, integrators, and project teams to design and deliver solutions that enhance employee experience, operational efficiency, and workforce intelligence.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead discovery and requirements-gathering sessions with HR, Payroll, Talent, and business stakeholders.
  • Document functional requirements for Core HR, Compensation cycles, Learning programs, Talent processes, and Payroll operations.
  • Advice on Workday best practices, configuration standards, and future-state process design.
  • Configure Workday HCM, including organizations, staffing models, business processes, compensation plans, security roles, talent frameworks, performance reviews, and learning structures.
  • Support configuration for Payroll inputs, calculations, validation rules, earnings/deductions, and pay results interpretation.
  • Build and maintain Workday Learning catalogs, courses, campaigns, and compliance modules.
  • Design and develop Workday reports, including Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Trending reports.
  • Develop BIRT reports for payroll, compensation statements, or other document-based outputs.
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver dashboards, scorecards, and analytics that enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Support PRISM data transformations and build workforce analytics models as needed.
  • Lead functional testing, unit testing, end-to-end testing, and UAT support.
  • Troubleshoot configuration issues and collaborate with technical teams on integration and data validation.
  • Assist clients with go-live readiness, cutover planning, and post-deployment optimization.
  • Deliver Workday admin training, end-user training, and functional walkthroughs.
  • Develop solution design documents, configuration guides, and business process documentation.
  • Support change management efforts, ensuring user adoption and operational alignment.
Skills & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–8 years of Workday implementation or support experience in multiple modules (Core HR, Compensation, Payroll, Talent, or Learning).
  • Strong understanding of business processes across the end-to-end employee lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience designing and developing Workday reports, including BIRT, Composite, Advanced, and Matrix reports.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable Workday configurations.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Workday certifications in Core HCM, Compensation, Payroll, Talent, or Learning are a plus.
  • Experience implementing or supporting Workday Deployments, Phase X projects, or post-production optimization.
  • Familiarity with integration concepts (EIBs, Workday Studio, Core Connectors).
  • Experience with PRISM Analytics or building multi-source workforce dashboards.
  • Prior consulting or enterprise HR systems experience.
  • Strong client communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
