is hiring a Lead Consultant, Workday Advanced Compensation to join our Digital Transformation team. This role is ideal for an experienced Workday implementation consultant who can lead complex compensation workstreams, advise clients with confidence, and help deliver thoughtful, scalable solutions.
As part of Mercer, a Marsh business and one of the world's leading HR consulting firms, our Digital Transformation practice is a certified Workday implementation and innovation partner. We work with clients across Workday HCM, Payroll, Finance, data conversion, strategic transformation, and change management to drive real business transformation.
In this role, you will combine hands-on delivery leadership with solution design, stakeholder management, and practice enablement.
What you'll do
- Lead the delivery of the Workday Advanced Compensation workstream for implementation and optimization engagements
- Partner with clients and internal teams to gather requirements and design effective, scalable solutions
- Act as a subject matter expert on complex Advanced Compensation configurations, decisions, and client issues
- Maintain accurate forecasts, delivery plans, timelines, and risk communication for your workstream
- Collaborate with other functional leads to ensure a seamless end-to-end client experience
- Support demos, solution architecture discussions, client presentations, and scoping activities
- Build and contribute thought leadership, enablement content, and best practice materials for the broader team
What we're looking for
- Active Workday certifications in both Core Compensation and Advanced Compensation
- 5+ years of experience as a certified Workday consultant
- 3+ years of experience leading Workday Advanced Compensation implementations as a lead consultant or subject matter expert
- Strong understanding of Workday architecture, security, and best practices
- Proven ability to navigate client-facing situations and drive workstream delivery successfully
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have
- Additional Workday certifications such as Recruiting, Talent and Performance, or Learning
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or enabling other consultants
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or another language
