Job description

As a Hiring Assessment Program Manager, you will perform research to develop hiring/selection assessments for a range of occupations and grades using research mechanisms to ensure the reliability, validity, fairness, utility, and job-relatedness of assessments.
Location of position: Washington, DC, Raleigh, NC, Kansas City, MO, Lakewood, CO, Forth Worth, TX, New York, NY, Philadelphia, PA, and Chicago, IL.

We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Qualifications:

To evaluate your qualifications, your resume must clearly demonstrate how you meet the specialized experience described below. Your resume must not exceed two pages. To ensure your qualifications can be fully evaluated, we recommend including the following information:

The GS-14 salary range starts at $127,829. Locality pay will be determined upon selection.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree that included a major field of study in Psychology.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 

In addition to the Basic Requirements listed above, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service. 

Specialized experience is defined as performing personnel psychology, industrial-organizational psychology, or closely related applied psychological research. ​This includes conducting job​ ​competency and hiring assessment analyses; designing, implementing, ​and validating personnel assessment tools used for hiring, promotion, placement, or workforce planning; ​applying research methods to evaluate the reliability, validity, fairness, utility, and job-relatedness of assessment instruments; advising on evidence-based assessment, selection, workforce planning, and talent management strategies; and preparing technical reports, validation documentation, briefings, or recommendations based on research findings.

This position has a positive education requirement: Applicants must submit a copy of their college or university transcript(s) and certificates by the closing date of announcements to verify qualifications. If selected, an official transcript will be required prior to appointment.
