Position Summary

As Digital & IT Team Lead, you are expected to be an advanced professional in business objectives and business processes. This role requires an experienced leader who can partner effectively with all levels of the organization; including the ability to lead others, drive results, and proactively identify and resolve problems. This role is responsible for the strategic direction of IT & Business Systems deliverables for the Braking Systems Division (BSD) Distribution Center and Carbon sites in Danville.  Accountable for business systems across the division, and their effective delivery and use by team members. This role drives delivery of technical systems/solutions, architecture and documentation, while focused on continuous improvement. This role works closely within a multi-site, multi-discipline environment, acting as a Business Relationship Manager in digital transformation. This role will have direct reports.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Digital & IT Systems and services for BSD DC and Carbon sites.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Be responsible for direct interaction with internal customers including, but not limited to, investigating comprehensive business requirements and use cases and recommending appropriate solutions
  • Strong ability to analyze business processes, organize and lead project teams through the analysis, while collaborating with other teams.
  • Direct and guide development and assist in the management of IT & Digital systems or services.  Assists business unit implementation of such systems and services.
  • Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and external vendors to analyze business requirements, design solutions, and implement enhancements or new functionalities.
  • Stay abreast of new Digital and IT technological innovation/processes and researches the usage at Parker 
  • Responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all business systems, including resolving system issues, investigating root causes, and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor system performance, identify areas for optimization, and implement improvements to enhance system reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Applies and leads continuous improvement initiatives to streamline and improve system efficiencies within the site solutions working closely with other IT teams.   
  • Responsible for all processes for systems to be compliant to SOX and CMMC and able to support audit activities.
  • Understand business impact. Create and communicate decisions impacting the wider business, effectively managing customer expectations
  • Guide and train team members in technical skills & processes
  • Supports resolution of critical situation technical problems
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and successes of prioritized initiatives to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Evaluate unplanned requests and determine appropriate priority and action
  • Manage multiple priorities through effective organization and communication
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Available to provide after-hours and weekend technical support as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or technology-related field of study
  • 10+ years of experience with Business Systems and managing teams
  • Experience with Operations, Manufacturing and Quality Systems preferably in Aerospace 
  • Demonstrated knowledge in database programming: SQL, PL/SQL, DB2, IMS
  • Proven experience with data reporting tools: Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Proven experience with SAP MES, SAP ECC or similar and integrations with business systems
  • Demonstrated team leadership, including experience with direct reports and contractors. 
  • Strong business analysis experience and skillset
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and prepare use cases, functional specifications, and technical requirements 
  • Ability to maintain professional and strong relationships with business partners, contactors, and stakeholders  
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and can apply those processes to everyday work  
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage projects effectively  
  • Must have or develop knowledge of Parker Lean tools and processes
  • Strong consultative, advisory, negotiation, and facilitation skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Preferred Skills

  • PMP certifications 
  • Experience with Engineering Systems - PLM/PDM, CAD, FEA (ENOVIA, CATIA, ANSYS) 
  • Proficiency using Azure DevOps, Agile practices
  • Experience with MS Power BI, Data Flows, Data Marts, MS Power Automate
