Job description

Early-stage VC at the heart of the tech ecosystem is looking for an Events Operations Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to get in the door at one of the most influential organizations in the startup world with its unmatched track record of helping founders build category-defining companies. In this role, you'll support the EA team and General Partners with planning and executing events - from intimate founder dinners and gatherings to large-scale programming. There will also be a light administrative component supporting scheduling and ad hoc projects. Someone hands-on, organized, and energized by events who brings strong communication skills, sharp judgment, and a hospitality mindset. This is an on-site role, 4-5 days/week, based in San Francisco's Dogpatch. Must be flexible and available to work evenings and occasional weekends, with some travel both domestic (3-4 weeks/year) and international (1-2x/year). 120-140K DOE + 100% covered benefits, 401K with match, and unlimited PTO.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing events across office locations and external venues, ranging from small gatherings to large-scale programs, including campus events, dinners, speaking engagements, company-wide programs, and hackathons.
  • Coordinate cross-functional event logistics, including venue, catering, workplace, AV, and vendor management.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure events and projects run smoothly.
  • Support the administrative team with meeting preparation, event logistics, and timely completion of ad hoc tasks.
  • Attend and support on the ground at events, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in Events, Workplace Operations, Office Management, or Administrative Assistant support in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple events and priorities simultaneously. A self-starter who can prioritize and stay organized.
  • High level of confidentiality, professionalism, flexibility, and sound judgment.
  • Friendly, approachable demeanor with the ability to work well collaboratively.
  • Tech-savvy. Interest in using AI tools to work more efficiently.
  • Flexible being on-site after hours and occasional weekends, and willingness to travel.
