As Sr. DoD Financial Systems & Compliance Leader, you'll support a high-visibility, enterprise AI-enabled financial compliance initiative for the Department of War.  This mission-critical program modernizes financial system compliance and audit workflows across more than 180 systems. You will serve as the financial authority guiding AI-enabled compliance validation, data standardization, and audit-readiness transformation across the enterprise.

This is a remote role with preference for candidates local to the DMV area who can attend in-person meetings as required.

What you'll do:

  • Provide deep domain expertise in DoD financial management systems, audit requirements, and compliance frameworks
  • Translate financial policy, Standard Financial Information Structure (SFIS) requirements, and statutory mandates into actionable system and product requirements
  • Validate AI-generated compliance mappings and anomaly findings for financial accuracy and audit defensibility
  • Partner with AI/ML engineers to refine rule sets and model outputs based on financial logic and compliance criteria
  • Support executive briefings and stakeholder engagements related to compliance posture and audit readiness
  • Guide cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between technology solutions and financial governance mandates

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in DoD financial management
  • Deep understanding of DoD financial management systems, SFIS, audit compliance requirements, and federal financial regulations
  • Experience supporting audit readiness initiatives, compliance validation, or financial data standardization efforts
  • Familiarity with enterprise financial systems, reporting environments, and internal controls frameworks
  • Ability to interpret financial policy and translate complex requirements into technical guidance

SALARY RANGE:  $138,000 - $147,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including: 

  • The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
  • This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
    • Performance-based bonuses
    • Company-paid training and/or certifications
    • Referral bonuses
