Job description

Job Summary:
This position is accountable to perform clerical and administrative support duties in the Volunteer Services Office and MWH and SH.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Interfaces courteously and effectively with all volunteers, patients, and visitors to give assistance, answer questions, and facilitate departmental operations. Must present a positive departmental image.
  • Performs routine clerical duties in a timely, effective manner.
  • Cross-trains and supports volunteer assignments to provide additional coverage, support, or relief for those positions as needed.
  • Monitors and maintains levels of office supplies, uniforms, volunteer event supplies, as requested by the department.
  • Updates database with status and schedules of volunteers, and provides reports using a variety of computer programs to facilitate communication of information.
  • Provides support to the Gift Shop and Auxiliary by assisting with inventory, fundraisers, and special events.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Proficient interpersonal, writing and other communication skills necessary.
  • Efficient working knowledge and experience with MS Office required.
  • Knowledge of automated systems and data reporting applications including Volgistics, Workday, and other Microsoft applications preferred.

Physical Requirements: Constant (67-100% of workday) sitting and use of arms and hands; occasional (0-33% of workday) standing, walking, bending, squatting; ability to lift, push, and pull up to 10 lbs.; auditory and visual skills.

Mental Requirements: Possesses critical thinking and analytical skills. Ability to multi-task. Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.

Environmental Requirements and Exposure Hazards: Potential risk of exposure to chemicals.
