Beloit Health System is seeking an engaging and results-oriented Volunteer Coordinator to join our team!
  • Shift: 1st shift
  • Schedule: 8a-5p
  • Hours per week: 40 hours per week
  • Benefits Status: Benefits Eligible
  • Department: Community Relations

The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting, training and managing our volunteer workforce. The Volunteer Coordinator will also manage two retail spaces at Beloit Memorial Hospital.
The Volunteer Coordinator:
  • Oversees new volunteer interviews and coordinates follow-up procedures such as assigning uniforms, taking pictures for name badges, training, orientation and scheduling
  • Keeps accurate and up-to-date files for all volunteers
  • Handles the day-to-day needs of the current volunteers
  • Assists in organization and planning of volunteer special events
  • Organizes and prepares for volunteer Board meetings
  • Facilitates various volunteer fundraisers throughout the year.
  • Completes special projects assigned on time and with a high level of quality.
  • Supports other marketing and community relations events

Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
  • At least 5 years; experience with volunteers is preferred; nonprofit sector a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and work with different personality types
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
