What you'll do:

As an IT Staff Engineer I, you will support and enhance the organization's Governance, Risk, and Controls (GRC) technology platforms, applying strong mid-level engineering expertise. You will identify development and support needs, contribute to solution design, and support project delivery while facilitating collaboration across teams. The ideal candidate is an outcome-focused technologist with a strong data and engineering mindset who promotes teamwork and effective communication.
  • Independently manage assigned workstreams from concept through completion with minimal supervision.
  • Administer and support enterprise GRC platforms, including configuration, customization, upgrades, and ongoing optimization to meet business and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GRC platforms with enterprise applications, databases, and data pipelines, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and performance issues to minimize downtime and enhance user experience.
  • Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive data, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide user support, training, and documentation to promote effective adoption of GRC platforms.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive improvements in GRC processes and systems.
  • Facilitate technical dialogue, reviews, and collaboration across delivery teams while supporting architectural and governance standards.

What you'll need:

  • 5+ years of development and/or implementation experience for enterprise applications in Java, Java Script frameworks (VueJS/React), SQL, PostgreSQL.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing and supporting Governance, Risk, and Controls platforms.
  • Familiarity with IT security, data privacy, and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Git, and CI/CD or DevOps toolchains preferred.
  • Knowledge of GRC frameworks such as COSO, ISO 31000, NIST, or similar preferred.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and customizing GRC platforms (e.g., SAI360, RSA Archer, SAP GRC) preferred.
  • Knowledge of ETL concepts and large-scale data integration across systems preferred.
  • Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or MicroStrategy preferred.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • May require up to 25% travel.
