Position Title: Junior Software Engineer
Position Type: Full-time, On-site
Location: Dayton, OH
Clearance: Active TS/SCI
Description:
Waypoint's client is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Software Engineer to support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), performing software activities focused on assisting the Air Force move forward with digital transformation. Successful candidates will have strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement new capabilities
  • Resolve issues found in existing code
  • Integrate capabilities with external services and tools

Required:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant STEM field
  • 3.0 GPA or higher. (GPA must be on resume to be considered).
  • 0-2 years of Experience with web front end development using React or Angular
  • 0-2years of Experience with server-side languages, such as NodeJS, Python
  • 0-2 years of Experience with version control software (ex Git)
  • Ability to communicate technical details of work
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and take ownership for segments of a project

Desired:
  • Experience with Docker (containerized deployment) is a plus
  • Experience utilizing NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB is a plus
  • Experience with Kubernetes is a plus
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines utilizing Gitlab CI or Jenkins is a plus
  • Experience with HELM is a plus
