Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Java Developer for a hybrid position (4 days onsite) with a Regional Financial Institution located in Columbus, OH. This is a contract opportunity.
Compensation: $92.71 - $95.58 per hour, W2, based on qualifications
Position Overview:

In this position, the successful candidate will design and implement complex IT solutions that are in line with the enterprise architecture roadmap. Working on a team to ensure successful delivery, this role will communicate clearly with business and technology stakeholders to develop and own project technical deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver well-designed, quality software in either an agile or waterfall environment
  • Work on a team to ensure successful delivery of solutions that add value to colleagues and customers as-well-as achieve business objectives
  • Understand business requirements
  • Communicate clearly with business and technology stakeholders to develop a proposed solution
  • Be the primary technical team owner of projects and project technical deliverables

Primary Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or other related field/experience
  • 5 years of relevant experience working with technology teams to deliver business and technical solutions leveraging your skills with Java, Rest API, Fuse, Kafka and JSON
  • 5 years of experience and proven understanding of DevOps, continuous integration, container-based applications, and cloud deployment architectures

Desired Skills:
  • Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Expert understanding of agile concepts and a working knowledge of Scrum and Kanban delivery frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Fraud Technology
  • Hands-on software development experience in Java with knowledge of Object Oriented Design
  • Experience with J2EE, Spring Boot, Web Services, and REST API development and consumption
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience working with a RDBMS like Oracle or MySQL
  • Experience with implementation of Microservices using Spring Boot and CI/CD tools on Jenkins and Kubernetes
  • Experience with development of RESTful web services using JAX-RS and Swagger for REST API documentation
  • Experience with CI/CD strategies (GIT, SVN, Jenkins)
  • Experience with data structures and algorithms for time and memory complexity reduction
  • Experience with Apache Maven
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform infrastructure and products like Cloud Run, Terraform, Big Data, and Big Query
  • 3+ years of professional experience in leading development team members
  • Minimum 5 years of IBM DataPower Gateway, IBM Integration Service Bus (IIB) / ACE with focus in back-end development
  • Knowledgeable with IBM MQ Websphere
