Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Lead Programmer/Analyst for a contract-to-hire position with a Regional Financial Institution located in Columbus, OH. This is a hybrid position.
Pay Range: $80.00 - $86.00 per hour W2

This role involves leading development for Python and Java applications within cloud environments like AWS and Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will design scalable solutions using RESTful APIs, support data movement and ETL processes, and provide technical mentorship to junior team members.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead development efforts across Python and Java-based applications in cloud environments (AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform)
  • Design and build scalable solutions leveraging RESTful APIs and data integration patterns
  • Support data movement and transformation activities, including ETL processes via both file-based and API-driven methods
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers, supporting skill development and code quality
  • Contribute to system design discussions and provide input on architecture decisions
  • Ensure solutions align with internal standards related to security, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain a working understanding of the broader technology stack to support troubleshooting and technical inquiries

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of software development experience
  • Hands-on experience developing in both Python and Java
  • Experience working within cloud environments, including AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and integration patterns
  • Experience with data movement and ETL processes, including both file-based and API-based approaches
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide less experienced developers
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex technical environments

Desired skills:
  • Experience migrating legacy systems into Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) environments
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
  • Exposure to enterprise architecture practices and governance frameworks
  • Experience operating within regulated environments (e.g., financial services, banking, or similar)
