Job description

Job Purpose:

The Application Developer's role is to use intermediate experience and knowledge of different programming languages to create and maintain programs and applications. Individuals in this role will collect research data from a variety of sources, analyze, and recommend courses of action to take. This includes the analysis of requirements and functional specifications to design, build, test, implement and support corrections and or enhancements. The role is expected to develop integrated solutions aligned with TD SYNNEX's business units utilizing robust computing architectures in a multi-tier environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Spring Boot
  • Build responsive and user-friendly UI components using React
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years' experience in Java (Java version 8+)
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot (REST APIs, Spring MVC, Spring Security)
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture
  • Experience with React.js (functional components, hooks, state management)
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Experience integrating frontend React apps with backend APIs
  • Knowledge of RESTful web services and JSON
  • Experience with SQL / NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
  • Familiarity with ORM frameworks like Hibernate/JPA
  • Experience with Git and version control workflows
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor) to accelerate development while maintaining strong code quality, security, and review standards.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and build tools (Maven/Gradle)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of AWS / Azure / GCP
  • Familiarity with Redux, Context API, or other state management tools
  • Experience with unit testing (JUnit, Mockito, Jest)
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development practices
