Job description

Furniture Enterprises of Alaska’s Display Team provides excellent support to each of our furniture and bedding stores by keeping our showroom displays looking amazing! This position is part of a highly motivated team working in a fast-paced environment. It is a physically demanding job that involves carrying sofas and other large furniture items in our showrooms.

Furniture Enterprises of Alaska, INC. is the largest locally owned furniture retailer that has been supporting Alaskan communities for over 50 years. Our stores include Sadler’s, Ashley, La-Z-Boy.

It is important that all our staff work in an atmosphere of trust, mutual respect, and have the desire to help us continuously improve our business. We also believe that good people, want to work with good people and not those under the influence of drugs and alcohol. We pre-test and random test all our staff for drugs and alcohol.

We also do complete background checks prior to employment. Details: $21.00 Per Hour to Start Full Time, Monday-Friday (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) PTO (136 Hours) Holiday Pay (Including your Birthday!) Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance 401K Retirement Plan with generous Employer Match Employee Discounts Responsibilities: Pulling of merchandise to/from the warehouse and showroom floor. Set up and take down displays.

Arranging furniture/product for displays, including but not limited to hanging art, lighting, and painting. Complete paperwork for items moving on/off the showroom floor. Conducting minor showroom floor item repairs.

Requirements/Qualifications: Lift between 70-90 lbs. consistently. Be dependable, and punctual.

Capable of carefully handling merchandise. Clean Driving Record. Shown ability to develop and foster working relationships with both management team and staff.

Effective written and verbal communication skills. Some travel between stores is required. Pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol testing and background check.
