Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Audio-Visual Intern will support audio visual for product and solutions displays within the large conference rooms at Midmark. This position is primarily responsible for setup, operating, testing, repairs and maintenance of all AV equipment, solution displays and video conferences at these locations. This includes following Midmark standards for equipment and upgrades. The Audio-Visual Intern will stay up to date with new solutions and equipment offerings.

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Maintain AV equipment within the Experience Center and 1915 room with the support of the Experience Center Lead
  • Troubleshoot network/communications issues within audio visual equipment
  • Maintain the working checklist/log for the Experience Center
  • Must interact with Technical Service, Marketing, IT and Engineering teammates to ensure all technology and equipment is up to Midmark standards
  • Set up and support virtual demos within the Experience Center
  • Support setup of solutions within the Learning Lab
  • Support setup of new equipment and updates in the Experience Center
  • Coordinate third party contractors to assist with AV equipment when needed
  • Maintain rapport with internal and external customers

 

SECONDARY DUTIES:

  • Provide support for Midmark equipment within the Experience Center (installations, updates, upgrades, etc.)

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma and currently pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree within IT, engineering or related fields. 

COMPETENCY and/or SKILL:

  • Professionalism and strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills: must be capable of accurately assessing needs, maintaining a calm business demeanor, and taking quick action to resolve issues
  • In depth knowledge of testing and updating audio visual equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues
  • Ability to use test and repair equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft platforms
  • Proficient knowledge of computers and operating systems
  • Ability to multitask and resolve to issues analytically
