What you get to do:

  • Assist in satisfying the visual display needs of all Merchandise business units
  • Implement plans for creating visual displays, utilizing carpenter and craftsman skills
  • Deliver and install any display fixtures, displays, or props as needed at Merchandise locations
  • Maintain the visual displays to include overhead displays, display cases and windows, feature and outside displays throughout the Merchandise locations
  • Assist at store sets and remerchandising per corporate and department merchandising standards
  • Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and interacting with guests, answering questions and resolving guest issues
  • Assist guests with product information with a focus on up-selling merchandise and increasing sales
  • Ensure that all merchandise is properly and accurately price marked
  • Take regular and special inventory counts, in an accurate and timely manner, as needed
  • Make a continuing and diligent effort to minimize the loss of company property and/or merchandise due to internal or external damage or theft
  • Monitor merchandise levels, notify leadership of inventory needs throughout day and participate in physical inventory
  • Follow department loss prevention procedures
  • Perform stock duties and maintain merchandise counters and displays in a clean, neat, and orderly manner
  • Keep all assigned areas clean, including emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, and dusting
  • Perform other duties as assigned


What it takes to succeed:

  • 3 years of visual merchandising experience
  • Valid state driverโ€™s license and be able to obtain a company driverโ€™s license
  • Basic carpentry skills to include painting, basic building and repairs, fixture and prop assembly
  • Visual merchandising skills to include:
  • Knowledge of fixtures and signage requirements to ensure brand messaging while ensuring maximum profitability
  • Successful implementation and execution of seasonal and specific planograms
  • Inventory management
  • Ability to climb
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to provide exceptional guest service
  • Ability to complete and pass all training for Merchandise department
  • Ability to stand for entire shift
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to push/pull up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
  • Comfortable with completing all cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
