Job description

Retail Merchandising Team Manager will oversee and elevate our growing team of field representatives. With nearly 10 merchandising specialists in the field and plans to expand significantly the RM Team Manager will be a critical part of ensuring our team meets performance goals and delivers exceptional results. This role involves tracking and reporting on KPIs, implementing improvement strategies, and fostering a culture of high performance through consistent coaching and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and accountability for team of field merchandising representatives, including direct supervision of Retail Merchandising Field Supervisor.
  • Monitoring daily activities through ongoing communication with RM Field Supervisor and monitoring of key KPIs and reports to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Track performance metrics and regularly report on team effectiveness against established KPIs.
  • Collaborate with field supervisor to effectively plan and execute special projects
  • Collaborate with the field supervisor to set performance targets and ensure seamless daily operations.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in merchandising approaches, recommending and implementing new strategies. Conduct regular coaching sessions to support team members in meeting and exceeding their goals.
  • Manage performance evaluations, identifying strengths, and areas for growth within the team.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement, promoting best practices, and supporting each team member's professional growth.
  • Work with the team to troubleshoot challenges in the field, promoting efficient problem-solving approaches.
  • Prepare and present performance reports to senior management, with insights and recommendations for optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in retail merchandising, team leadership, or field operations.
  • Strong understanding of performance metrics and KPI tracking, with the ability to analyze and communicate insights effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A natural coach with the ability to inspire and motivate field team members to reach their full potential.
  • Experience with reporting and performance management software or tools is a plus.
  • Ability to travel 50% to work with team members in the field and oversee field based projects.
