A Virtual Medical Coder reviews patient medical records and assigns standardized codes for diagnoses, procedures, and treatments to ensure accurate billing and insurance processing. They work remotely for hospitals, clinics, or healthcare providers, using electronic health records (EHR) and coding software. Virtual Medical Coders play a crucial role in healthcare revenue cycles, ensuring proper reimbursement and compliance with industry standards.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a virtual medical coder?
