Job description

About the Role

Are you a natural connector who can close? We're looking for an Admissions & Community Manager to drive enrollment at Atlas Immersion Academy. You'll own everything from running open houses and farmers market events to conducting tours and following up with families who've toured—with one goal: helping the right families find us and enroll.

This role combines sales, event coordination, and marketing. You're not splitting time between conflicting priorities; you're the one person who can handle community presence and enrollment follow-up at a high level.

What You'll Do

Community & Enrollment Events (35%)

  • Plan and execute open houses, farmers market tables, and community events designed to bring new families into our pipeline
  • Represent Atlas professionally at chamber mixers, fairs, and local events
  • Coordinate logistics with our campus directors—you make sure signage is up, materials are packed, and events run smoothly

Marketing, Signage & Materials (35%)

  • Own the production of professional signage, banners, and flyers for all five campuses
  • Work with marketing partners to keep social content and promotions on-brand and active
  • Use AI tools and Canva to draft and polish flyers, promotions, and enrollment materials quickly

Admissions, Tours & Enrollment (30%)

  • Conduct in-person tours for prospective families, giving them a confident, warm first impression of Atlas
  • Make warm follow-up calls, texts, and emails to families who've toured
  • Take a consultative approach: listen to what families need, connect it to our programs, and ask for the enrollment
  • Address concerns thoughtfully—many families want clarity on pricing, timing, or program fit before deciding
  • Work as a team with our virtual CRM manager/caller, coordinating on lead handoff and follow-up so no family falls through the cracks
  • Track contacts and outcomes in our CRM in a way that's usable by your team

What Success Looks Like

In your first year, you'll establish enrollment targets with leadership. You'll be measured by enrolling families who are a good fit—as demonstrated by continued enrollment past 30 days—and by follow-up completion rates.

What This Role Is Not

  • Not general community engagement. Ongoing programming for currently enrolled families (cooking classes, family events) stays with our Education team. You're focused on new-family acquisition.
  • Not a solo content creator. We have marketing partners; you're the one making sure good content gets made and reaches families.
  • Not primarily on-camera. Video content is a bonus, not a job requirement.

Required Qualifications

  • Warm, gregarious personality that connects naturally across cultures and backgrounds (this is the top priority)
  • Sales or closing experience—admissions, real estate, healthcare coordination, or similar roles where you've asked for the decision
  • Fluent English (written and spoken); professional communication
  • Professional presentation—someone families would feel confident trusting as a first impression of Atlas
  • Comfortable with basic tech and CRM tools; willing to use AI tools in your workflow
  • Availability for occasional evenings/weekends (open houses, fairs, farmers markets), scheduled in advance—expect 2–4 weekend events per month

Preferred Qualifications

  • Spanish or French language skills (enough to warmly greet families or transfer a call)
  • Knowledge of early childhood development or education (learnable on the job; genuine enthusiasm matters more than credentials)
  • Childcare or education industry experience
  • Familiarity with Portland-area schools and community (or willingness to learn quickly)
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva)

Compensation & Benefits

  • $58,000/year base salary
  • Performance-based commission, tied to enrollment performance across all campuses.

Commission structure: High earning potential for the right individual — someone capable of connecting mission-aligned, right-fit families who will thrive at Atlas. Commission is directly tied to a percentage of resulting enrollment revenue, with additional earnings estimated between $20,000–$40,000/year depending on performance.

(Total comp estimated: $78,000+–$98,000+)

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off, holiday pay, birthday holiday
  • Employee discount on childcare services
  • Professional development support
