HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager is responsible for overseeing the full AR function within a dynamic, multi-entity manufacturing environment. This role provides leadership to an onsite and remote team of AR Analysts, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant execution of invoicing, cash application, credit memos, collections, reporting, and month-end/quarter-end close activities. The AR Manager partners closely with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies, support customer inquiries, and drive continuous improvement across the order-to-cash process.

Achievement of objectives must include an overriding commitment to quality that must permeate the areas of responsibility.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Supervises, trains and mentors onsite and remote team of AR Analysts. Sets goals and objectives for team members.
  • Responsible for ensuring that AR processes are done in an accurate and timely manner consistent with the policies of Shared Services including issuing invoices and credit memos, sending invoices and account statements, posting cash receipts, etc.
  • Assists other departments in researching discrepancies, etc. and helps resolve customer inquiries.
  • Responsible for contacting customers and working with other departments to collect on past-due balances.
  • Reviews and challenges anything that appears unusual.
  • Monitor unapplied cash.
  • Maintains accurate records and control reports.
  • Prepares and/or reviews all monthly accruals in AR.
  • At each quarter and year-end, ensures that a proper cutoff is achieved so that the general ledger is properly updated.
  • Responsible for the applicable portions of the monthly and quarterly report packages.
  • Responsible for the preparation of appropriate documentation as required by J-Sox.
  • May recommend improvements to AR processes.
  • Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business.
  • Achievement of objectives must include an over-riding commitment to quality that must permeate the areas of responsibility.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • 7-8 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, with at least 4 years in a management role within a large enterprise.
  • Extensive experience using Oracle ERP for accounts receivable and financial processes in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing billing cycles, order-to-cash processes, and credit risk management.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to drive results.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with SOX compliance and internal audit processes preferred.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, complex environment.
