The (USA) Manager, Vendor Management oversees procurement tracking and supplier relationships to ensure alignment with program objectives and schedules. This role manages contract negotiations, process improvements, and compliance with company policies while coordinating cross-functional efforts to meet business needs. The position involves supervising associates, fostering a high-performing team environment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The manager ensures operational efficiency through effective communication, data management, and adherence to ethical standards, supporting Walmart’s commitment to delivering value and excellence in vendor management practices.
About the team:
Our team specializes in centralized asset strategy, focusing on optimizing asset lifecycle performance through data analytics, AI applications, and detailed reporting. We lead continuous improvement initiatives and project sprints to enhance Upstream Facilities Services within the GM Asset strategy lifecycle. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, the team ensures effective maintenance planning, preventive measures, and operational excellence. Utilizing advanced tools and processes, we support facility repair, project management, and cost optimization efforts, contributing to sustained asset performance and reliability. This disciplined, data-driven team drives strategic business objectives efficiently and effectively.
What you'll do:
  • Manage tracking and recording of procurement and project dates using databases and tracking tools to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Oversee supplier relationships by negotiating contracts, prioritizing workloads, and maintaining communication channels for schedules and technical information.
  • Evaluate and improve procurement and contracting processes by benchmarking and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement procedures for vetting suppliers and managing procurement using company systems and forecasting future needs.
  • Coordinate contract awards, maintain documentation, and generate necessary reports.
  • Lead and develop associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, promote ethical standards, and support company values in all activities.

  • Proven experience managing vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and supplier performance evaluation.
  • Strong proficiency in tracking and maintaining procurement schedules using databases and software tools such as SAP and spreadsheets.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
