Job description

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative, and detailed individual for our Construction Management Intern position. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work full-time during the summer in Moscow, ID. If you are looking for an opportunity to use your organizational skills and creative talents, then this position is for you!

As a Construction Management Intern, a typical day might include the following:

  • Support Property Management Manager and Project Coordinators with project tracking, documentation, and administrative tasks

  • Track project schedules in MS Project, maintain daily job logs, and report project feedback

  • Process RFIs and product submittals; update drawing files and improve archives and materials library

  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers, including planning vendor visits and field office setup

  • Continuously identify, monitor, and improve operational and office processes

This job might be for you if you:

  • Are a current student pursuing an Associate or Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Business, Design, or Architecture.

  • Have strong computer skills, especially 2D/3D CAD, MS Office Suite, and MS Project.

  • Have excellend proofreading skills.

  • Have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.

  • Can learn concepts and technical details of products.

  • Are able to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment.

  • Are able to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

  • Have background check results satisfactory to SEL.

  • Have negative drug test result(s).
