Job Description
Works as liaison between supply chain and clinical end users. Works closely with value analysis councils to find utilization management and standardization opportunities.
Experience
• Three years of related experience
• One year of experience in managing and supervising staff
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the healthcare industry
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
Certification Summary
• No professional certifications required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Proven partnering skills to establish and maintain strong, positive working relationships with internal and external customers and within the department
• Demonstrated project management experience
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and meet critical timelines with minimal supervision
• Strong customer service orientation, including consistent and timely follow-up on issues and communications
• Ability to inspire confidence, diffuse tension, and act as a change agent
Job Responsibilities
1.Evaluates identified supply variation for clinical justifications and makes recommendations on standardization practices where applicable.
2.Initiates/leads conversations with physicians and clinical staff around standardization.
3.Leads evidence-based product evaluation process.
4.Provides guidance and oversight during product evaluation process.
5.Provides clinical guidance on substitutions during backorder situations.
6.Trains value analysis committee members to manage, participate in, and collect data for product evaluations.
7.Assist Supervisor and/or Manager with development of staff by: being available to teammates, acting as a resource to help complete complicated/complex tasks, providing on the job training to team, and seeking out opportunities to become actively involved in staff workflow and development.
8.Provide Supervisor and/or Manager feedback on staff performance, educational needs, and workflow status.
