Job Description

Position Summary:

The Manager, Demand Planning, is accountable for working cross functionally with strategic Commercial Teams, such as Sales, Revenue Growth Management and Beer Analytics to deliver a consensus depletion forecast as part of the IBP process, enabling effective operational planning, financial guidance organizational execution signals, and strategic direction at the enterprise level.

This role involves leading a team of Demand planners and an analyst, with the goal of improving forecast accuracy through creating a forecast using foundational machine learning modeling in conjunction with the Data Science team and combined with enrichment of information from collaboration with Commercial partners & senior leadership.

Role ensures that the demand plan is credible, challenged, and defended at the right level and is strategically aligned with Commercial activities and longrange business plans.

This role requires a professional with a strong leadership background, the ability to inspire a team, and a track record of delivering results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting & Demand Planning
    • Demonstrate the ability to quantify relationships between business drivers and demand outcomes.
    • Proficiency in statistical modeling and its application to forecasting.
    • Expertise in data visualization and business intelligence tools, to drive decision making/consensus across cross functional partners and from the planner/analyst level up to the Beer Leadership Team.
    • Digital Competency: Demonstrated experience across use of Data Science and Analytics- knowledge of advanced analytics and ML models and use of predictive and prescriptive analytics.
    • Own and defend demand volumes, drivers, and Risks & Opportunities (R&Os)across all regions at item, brand, distributor and business-unit levels.
    • Ensure commercial assumptions are aligned and approved with appropriate insight owners prior to integration into demand plans.
    • Provide leadership in the Monthly Demand Review meeting and process, framing tradeoffs, risks, and opportunities for gap closure to plan.
  • People Leadership & Capability Building
    • Coach Demand Planners on executive presence, structured storytelling, and stakeholder management
    • Own the overall demand accuracy and bias targetsand improvement roadmap
    • Actively demonstrate buy-in of IBP long term evolution and transformation goals
    • Build a diverse, highly agile team focused on successful outcomes and continuously identify areas of opportunity to improve, streamline or challenge the status quo.
    • Support the creation and delivery of critical planning based KPIs
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Foster strong relationships with sales, marketing, operations, and finance teams to integrate relevant data and insights to drive the right forecast enhancements.
    • Lead cross-functional meetings between sales, marketing, and finance leaders to align on demand planning strategies and drive results through quantitative insights and action-oriented facilitation.
    • Demonstrates effective communication that is genuine and authentic, as well as clear, concise, and persuasive in both written and oral communication.
    • Ability to own, present and drive consensus of overall forecast to all levels of the organization, including the Beer Leadership Team.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated and apply relevant industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies in demand planning and supply chain management
    • Challenge the status quo to improve demand planning processes and tools.
    • Drive continuous improvement efforts to increase forecast accuracy and operational efficiency

Role Expertise

  • Working experience, 8+ years in Supply Chain; 5+ years in Demand Planning.
  • Experience leading a team in delivering continued strong results
  • Career experience working across Commercial, Finance, Logistics, Manufacturing and/or Procurement planning.
  • Experience in CPG industry, preferred.
  • Experience leveraging data and analytics solutions, such as o9 and Power BI, preferred.

The salary range for this role is:

$98,800.00 - $177,600.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor. For remote locations or positions open to multiple locations, the pay range may reflect several US geographic markets, including the lowest geographic market minimum to the highest geographic market maximum. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
