Job description

Persistent Systems is seeking a Demand Planning Associate to join our team at our NYC headquarters.  The Demand Planning Associate will work closely and collaborate cross-functionally with teams including procurement, sales, production, field operations, engineering and logistics operations in support of a sales forecast and demand triggers.  This individual will leverage the intricacies of inventory levels to formulate and manage a robust shipment plan with real-time data integration and decision making to meet the on-time delivery of customer orders with precision and efficiency.

Position Responsibilities 

  • Maintains the ERP systems process of demand planning and inventory functions of the product lines to support both material and finished goods requirements
  • Support the growth of our supply chain analytical capabilities by developing new reporting metrics and solutions
  • Research and review sales trends and demand drivers
  • Conducts and provides analysis of key performance indicators (KPI) among product lines
  • Monitors, identifies, and coordinates other internal and external inventory locations to improve supply efficiency and order fill rate
  • Maintain and send out On-Time Delivery Report KPI
  • Provide quick accurate response to Sales for Lead Time Requests
  • Provide ad hoc inputs and analysis to others in the supply chain to maximize effective decision making

 


Minimum Qualifications 

  • Must have a United States security clearance or the ability to obtain a United States security clearance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in supply chain, logistics and/or demand planning
  • Strong proficiency in statistical and analysis and forecasting methods
  • Proven experience with demand planning software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Proficient with MS office suite (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macro)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, statistics, or a related field
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification (Any Level)
  • Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and self-motivation

The total compensation for this role can vary from $76,000 to $93,000 a year based on the selected individual's education and experience.
