The impact youโ€™ll make

As the leader of the demand planning team, you will be responsible for three key areas:

  • Demand Management: creation and maintenance of a rationalized 18-month customer demand signal for systems, upgrades and spares to prepare Lam factories, the global supply chain, andlogisticsto meetanticipatedcustomer demand. Ensure strong connection with business development teams to ensure aligned prioritization.
  • Forecast Management: creation and maintenance of an accurate build and material forecast to support the 18-month demand signal utilizing partnerships with product groups to anticipate upgrade opportunities and previously shipped configurations and sales teams to understand customer needs.
  • Slot Readiness: ensure on-time signals to enable GOps commitments to meet customer needs โ€“ including full understanding of configuration and nonโ€‘standard options, and special logistics requirements.

To support these key delivery areas, you will work with teams in Global Operations, Sales Operations, Product Groups to finalize an accurate demand signal. Working with teams accross Lam, your relationships will help you develop and drive an understanding of semiconductor industry drivers, Lamโ€™s customer needs, and overall market trends. All this will help develop a comprehensive demand picture for Lamโ€™s business. Finally, this role will have a close partnership with global production planning to enable readiness. It will require a leader who has a massive attention to detail, the ability to influence worldwide coordination to ensure standardization and repeatability, and an understanding of planning systems and processes.

The right candidate will be able to choose action over analysis paralysisโ€” someone who starts before they feel completely ready, make calculated moves with the best information available, and build momentum through decisive execution. Above all, this role requires a builder who improves the status quoโ€”finding smarter, simpler, faster ways to get work done and inspiring others to do the same.

What youโ€™ll do

Lace up your running shoesโ€”youโ€™ll own the full demand marathon, from shaping the 18โ€‘month plan to juggling priorities, constraints, and lastโ€‘minute curveballs across the business. Along the way, youโ€™ll keep deliveries on track, align teams globally, and turn chaos into a clear, executable plan (while making it look almost easy).

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end demand management process, including definition, governance, and maintenance of the 18-month demand signal (plan of record)
  • Lead nearโ€‘term demand aggregation, prioritization and change control across Sales Operations, Product Groups, and Global Operations
  • Partner with global production planning to translate demand into capacity plans and competitive customer delivery commitments
  • Drive onโ€‘time delivery performance and a differentiated order fulfillment experience, including management of constraints, gaps and recovery plans
  • Lead the quarterly shipment/revenue execution cadence by aligning Regional Sales Operations and Manufacturing on shipment plans, risks and mitigation actions
  • Enable fast, accurate responses on system configurations, nonโ€‘standard requests, specifications and business terms through clear processes and decision rights
  • Build and communicate a comprehensive demand outlook using market indicators, customer signals and scenario analyses to support executive decisions
  • Establish operating rhythms to review demand changes, constraints, and unattended risks; escalated and drive closure through rootโ€‘cause and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with production planning, supply chain, and logistics to optimize inventory positioning and factory utilization against the plan of record
  • Define and govern demand overrides and exception handling to ensure a rationalized, auditable demand signal
  • Partner with Sales Ops and Product Groups to incorporate customer priorities, strategic delivery needs, and New Product Introductions into the demand plan
  • Communicate production availability, constraints, and tradeโ€‘offs to Sales to enable effective prioritization and improved customer commit performance
  • Lead, develop, and scale the Demand Management team; set goals, coach performance, and drive standardization and repeatability worldwide
  • Drive continuous improvement of demand management processes, reporting, and planning systems to improve speed, quality, and decisionโ€‘making
Who weโ€™re looking for

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15+ years of related experience with a Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent; or 12+ years and a Masterโ€™s degree; or a PhD with 8+ yearsโ€™ experience; or equivalent experience
  • Advanced analytical skills to interpret and utilizedata for decision making
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Extensive crossโ€‘functional experience with demonstrable business results
