Description of Job:

The Demand Planning Analyst, reporting to the SO&P Manager, will facilitate the demand planning process and is responsible for management of the daily and weekly demand planning functions. The position will provide significant and detailed review of customer demand, item availability, forecast performance, and item trend analysis. In addition, it will include the preparation and distribution of vital reports for the organization that impact customer relationship management. An ideal candidate has proven experience in data analysis, demand or supply planning, and supply chain activities. The team member will be a critical voice on the supply chain team, providing key context and perspective for customer/item demand decision making.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work in coordination with team on the annual & monthly EGI forecast development.
  • Execute various tasks related to alignment of the demand plan to the EGI forecast.
  • Coordinate with Supply Planning on the initial demand plan as well as updates/changes to the plan.
  • Assist in the monthly S&OP process, facilitates demand planning meetings and executes any new actions related to the demand plan.
  • Provide short term demand plan updates in the weekly S&OE meeting.
  • Manage the processes and guidelines related to lead-time management, inventory allocation, and demand management for customer orders and forecasts.
  • Work closely with CSRโ€™s and Sales on demand planning and forecasting activities.
  • Review item availability of all finished goods and provides/updates item status/availability reports.
  • Work closely with Customer Fulfillment Specialist on specific customer and item allocation needs.
  • Review Master Production Schedule (MPS), OEM Container Plans, Transfer Orders, etc. to determine item flow and availability timing.
  • Communicate and provides feedback on item availability to EGI team members as requested.
  • Provids/update reports that analyzes customer item forecast to actual customer demand.
  • Notify Supply Planning of item quantity gaps and works together to align on any revisions to the supply plan.
  • Perform root cause analysis of demand issues to determine best solution.
  • Escalate complex demand issues to management for further discussion and resolution.
  • Support product life-cycle/profile management.


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Analytics, Communication, or related area of study
  • ERP and MRP systems experience preferred but not required
  • 2+ years of analytical experience
  • Experience in demand planning and/or supply chain functions preferred
