Job description

Tessco is seeking a Demand Planning Manager to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for the creation of a monthly demand plan (SKU/Key Account/Warehouse). The Demand Planning Manager will need to ensure forecasts are accurately maintained in Tessco's forecasting platform per the monthly process. This position will collaborate cross-functionally with sales, sales support, and supply chain on customer forecasts, initial stocking orders, and upcoming special initiatives.

This is a hybrid role (3 days in office) in Hunt Valley, MD

Responsibilities:

  • Create monthly demand plans at the SKU/Warehouse level by utilizing customer data, historical data, and sales insights
  • Measure, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators to identify potential issues and present solutions for improvement to management
  • Continuously review and improve demand planning processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Meet with key customers to discuss forecasting and consumption performance
  • Participate in regular meetings with sales and supply chain teams to align on demand forecasts and identify any changes in customer/market trends
  • Analyze large datasets and use statistical techniques to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies, and create plans to adjust current forecasts accordingly
  • Address demand related issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Proactively develop ad-hoc analytical reports and tools to meet the changing needs of the business
  • Produce specific customer reporting as required.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in MS Office with advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge, experience with power query report creation a plus
  • Ability to balance the needs of the business and key customers as part of a cross-functional team
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills exhibited under tight deadlines with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain planning experience (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Production Planning)
  • APICS, LSS Black Belt, CAPM, or PMP certification a plus

BA/BS Degree required

Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000
