Job Summary

Value Analysis is a standardized process aimed at the review and management of clinical products used across an organization. Value Analysis is led from within supply chain by clinical individuals who partner with clinical teams and leaders from across theentire system (South, West, andEast). The program is aimed atensuring clinicians have appropriate supplies, implants, and instrumentation which support Corewell Health's commitment to clinicalexcellence while owning the cost of care.

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for carrying out value analysis processes that contribute to the management of supplyexpenses within the assigned clinical service lines. Identifies and implements strategies to drive system standards, product quality and cost containment while reducing variation. Participates in the value analysis process to provide high quality,efficient and costeffective products and services. Facilitates analysis of product or service selection, utilization, and costs supporting Value Analysis Team decision-making.

Essential Functions
  • Coordinate cost saving initiatives with Sourcing Specialists, financial analysts and managers/directors
  • Within assigned service lines, manages Value Analysis Team (VAT) product request process and product trials
  • Supports interdisciplinary teams toensure smooth integration of new products and processes
  • Leads VAT team through identification of product value when consideringefficacy, quality, safety and cost
  • Handles in-the-moment product concerns (i.e. Joint Commission inquiries, product safety concerns, recalls/substitutions,etc.)With this,connect stakeholders with appropriate resources when product concerns arise
  • Facilitatesthe engagement of clinical stakeholders toensure clinically-led decision-making, with consideration to the total cost of care
  • Responsible for the coordination, facilitation, preparation andexecution of VAT meetings within assigned service line(s)
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Nursing
  • 2 years of relevant experience Supply chain management or clinical registered nurse experience

Preferred

  • Previous project management experience
  • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire
