About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Supply Chain Analyst to join a high-impact analytics team responsible for improving operational outcomes in our Planning and Allocation team as well as the broader supply chain.
Our Supply Chain Analytics team serves as the company's central analytics authority on inventory, the lifeblood of the company, and its movement through the supply chain. We work with stakeholders across the organization including Merchandising, Transportation, and Distribution Operations to translate complex operational data into clear insights, recommendations, and tools that drive measurable improvements.
This role is ideal for someone who not only solves complex problems, but defines them, owning key problem spaces and driving end-to-end analytical solutions that shape how the business operates.
What You Will Do
You will drive business outcomes through data by owning critical analytical domains and leading high-impact initiatives from problem definition through execution.
You will partner directly with senior leaders to structure ambiguous problems, develop analytical strategies, and deliver solutions that influence decisions at scale.
Typical work includes:
  • Owning and evolving key analytical domains that impact inventory flow and supply chain performance
  • Designing and scaling tools, frameworks, and methodologies that standardize decision-making
  • Leading complex root cause analyses and translating findings into clear, actionable strategies
  • Influencing system design, parameter optimization, and operational processes
  • Delivering executive-level narratives that inform strategic direction
  • Elevating team capability through mentorship, standard-setting, and thought leadership

Your work will directly shape how inventory is planned, allocated, and moved across the BJ's network, with measurable impact on inventory productivity, supply chain efficiency, and sales.
What We Are Looking For
  • Business Acumen & Ownership: You focus on solving the actual business problem, not just answering the immediate question. You take ownership of outcomes, not just the data.
  • Growth Mindset: You love learning and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Analytical Leadership: You define problems, set direction, and lead analytical efforts in complex and ambiguous environments.
  • Influence: You effectively influence stakeholders at multiple levels, including senior leadership.
  • Communication & Collaboration: You enjoy working closely with stakeholders and communicate proactively and with clarity. You translate complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives that drive action.
  • Technology & Innovation: You are excited to leverage modern analytics tools (e.g., Databricks, Tableau) to improve how decisions are made. High proficiency in SQL and Excel is expected. Experience with Python, Databricks, or advanced analytics techniques strongly preferred. Experience implementing AI solutions are a bonus.
  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in an analytical role (supply chain, operations, or retail experience preferred).
  • Office Environment: Hybrid position with 3-days per week in the Marlborough, MA corporate office.

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.
In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $103,000.00 - $131,500.00
We recognize the growing role of AI tools, including ChatGPT, and value familiarity with them. That said, we want to hear from your authentic self. Your application should reflect your own skills, experiences, and insights rather than AI-generated responses.
