The aim of Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) Canada is to deliver day-to-day services to Societe Generale investment and corporate bank units and their clients to accelerate their transformation. This is a central and dynamic position as you will provide technical and functional support for the applications that are used by trading and risk analysts based in New York. Great communication, social skills, and knowledge of ITIL best practices are essential as you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our applications.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

You'll be part of an IT feature team (Dev and Support) in front of a trading desk. You will work closely with the Dev team to provide the best services to our traders and help avoid or fix major incidents in production. When you open your laptop, you'll do a morning check to make sure Production is stable before the financial markets open.

During the day you will maintain the user's ticket backlog using Unity. You can also be contacted directly by users for live production incidents where you will need to use your problem-solving skills to troubleshoot the applications.

Be ready to learn the key Production Support practices and gain financial expertise from experienced professionals.

You will perform the evening check to ensure the Production is stable before Asian markets open

Skills and Qualifications:

Must Have:

       Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an application support analyst

       Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent job experience 

       Track record of delivering continual improvements & automations

Competencies:

       That's why we require our team members to demonstrate a basic level of coding ability.

       To qualify for the role, you must be able to write an SQL query and pass a basic coding game in whatever technology you are familiar with.
