As the Studio Director for our Montreal Co-Development Team, you will lead and manage an internal creative studio supporting multiple video game studios within our organization. You will be responsible for fostering a collaborative culture, building great partnerships with other studios and achieving operational excellence across various game development projects. This role requires a dynamic, strategic, and innovative leader who can build and guide teams, manage resources effectively, and maintain alignment with organizational objectives.
What you'll do

  • Develop and execute a clear strategic vision for the Co-Development Studio aligned with overall organizational goals.
  • Drive effective cross-studio collaboration, ensuring alignment on project timelines, resource allocation, and build an outstanding studio from the ground up.
  • Oversee daily operations, budgeting, resource allocation, and project scheduling.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards.
  • Continually optimize internal processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high performing studio leadership group.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and encourage professional growth.
  • Set the culture for the studio and build a great working environment for all.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating studio capabilities, progress, and challenges.
  • Act as a liaison between the Co-Development team and supported video game studios, facilitating productive dialogue and cooperation.
  • Manage the studio's profit and loss (P&L), ensuring fiscal responsibility, profitability, and growth.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to accurately forecast, budget, and report financial performance.


What you'll bring

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the video game industry with at least 10years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record in studio/functional team management, team leadership, and budgeting.
  • Exceptional strategic, operational, and financial acumen.
  • Deep understanding of video game development processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build and maintain effective relationships across diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in fostering innovative and collaborative cultures.
