We are looking for a Senior Artist to join our Montreal Office. This is a hands-on creative role focused on producing high-quality 2D art assets for our games. You will collaborate closely with developers, designers, and other artists to bring engaging visuals to life, contributing to the signature look and feel of our products.

You will contribute to all visual aspects of our projects, including:

  • Character design, poses, and expressions (realistic or cartoon styles)

  • Environments, backgrounds, matte paintings, and textures

  • UI elements, symbols, logos, and menus

  • Spine-based animations for characters, objects, and effects

  • Promotional assets and motion graphics

You'll be expected to deliver polished, visually consistent artwork that aligns with project goals and brand guidelines. This role requires strong artistic sensibilities, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to different visual styles.

The Senior Artist must have a great knowledge with assets optimization for HTML 5/Online game purposes. Our expectation would be someone that has used Webp on a regular basis before and is familiar with all the pros and cons vs jpeg, png 8 bits etc. They successful applicant must also know how to use Texture Packer to a high level and/or other similar optimization tools.

You'll be a key creative contributor and a go-to expert for artistic quality and animation. While this role does not involve people management, we are looking for someone who cancoach and mentor junior artists, sharing knowledge and elevating the overall quality of the team's output.

    Qualifications

    What You Bring

    • 7+ years of experience in 2D game art with a strong portfolio

    • Mastery of Adobe Photoshop

    • Ability to create compelling visual concepts in a variety of styles

    • Strong drawing and sketching skills for ideation and concept development

    • Understanding of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling

    • Experience optimizing assets for online and mobile delivery

    • Familiarity with Adobe After Effects and Illustrator

    • Great knowledge of Adobe Firefly or Adobe Photoshop AI assistant.

    • Knowledge of game development pipelines and tools

    • Ability to work efficiently and meet production deadlines

    • Curiosity, creativity, and a passion for visual storytelling


    Nice to Have

    • Solid understanding of animation principles and rigging

    • Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine

    • Familiarity with 3D tools and workflows

    • Background in casino gaming or interactive entertainment

    • Familiarity with AI-powered art tools such as Layer.ai
