Summary:
Concrete Finishers for Fessler & Bowman will perform a variety of tasks that assist in the completion of projects. It is crucial to have the skills necessary to work as a valued team member for F&B to provide the type of service our customers have come to expect. To perform this position sufficiently, the employee must be able to perform the following duties satisfactorily. The below descriptions represent, but do not limit, the duties expected of this position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Anything and everything related to heavy concrete- finishing concrete, earthwork, and site utilities. From unloading and moving construction materials to building forms and working on large concrete pours
  • Waterproof, finish, and repair concrete in new and existing structures
  • Install items into freshly poured concrete
  • Spread, level, and smooth wet concrete
  • Create concrete forms and use machinery to direct wet concrete into them
  • Other duties to be assigned

Education, Experience & Qualifications:
โ€ข 1+ year of Concrete Finishing experience required
โ€ข Willingness to learn and follow all safety policies and requirements
โ€ข This position requires climbing, kneeling, bending and crawling often as well as the ability to work on ladders, platforms and mechanical lifts
โ€ข Must be able to understand English
โ€ข Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
โ€ข Valid Driver's License required
Travel:
Travel may be required for this position as the employee must be willing to travel to surrounding job sites. F&B will compensate a per diem for travel and overnight stay if applicable.
Work Environment:
As a Concrete Finisher, you will be subject to various work environments. Environments include but are not limited to the following: high/low temperatures, areas close to traffic, loud and frequent noises, confined spaces, heights, indoor/outdoor settings.
