Job description

As the Field Service Dispatcher, you will be primarily responsible for assigning, dispatching, and scheduling onsite services at customer sites for the Field Service Engineers. They will be a key driver in the success of Service by contributing directly to a positive customer experience and creating efficiency for the field staff by providing accurate and timely information for onsite services to all parties involved.

What you will accomplish together with us:

  • Assigning Field Service Engineers to Service Requests via Service Management System (SMS) in advance with tentative dates

  • Scheduling onsite field services with end user customers via phone and email

  • Confirming all onsite dates with customers and field engineers in advance of services

  • Make adjustments to engineer schedules or customer visits as needed

  • Ensure all onsite requirements are met prior to services taking place

  • Ensure all equipment is delivered and available at the customer site

  • Ensure any technical equipment required for services are available, scheduled, and shipped and/or transported to the customer site

  • Place, track, and follow up on orders for all spare parts needed for onsite activities

  • Assist in inventory management for Field Service Engineer van stock

  • Create and update service orders and SMS and/or ERP with all relevant information including model & serial numbers and customer location & contact information, etc.

  • Create and update customer master and contact information within SMS and/or ERP

  • Review and monitor all open service orders in need of scheduling

  • Prepare quotations for onsite repairs of systems, with assistance from Technical Support

  • Coordinate with Service Support, Field Service Engineers, and Management on all open service order and onsite activities

What will convince us:

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED required (College Degree preferred)

Experience:

  • 2+ years in customer service, dispatching, or scheduling

  • Beginner's experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • SAP/ERP experience preferred

  • Service Management System experience preferred
