EVS Training Associateย 

Event Visitor Services is the functional area, within theOrganizingCommittee for the LA28Games (Olympics and Paralympics), that is in charge of planning, designing and providing a safe and welcoming visit to all ticketed events at the official competition venues and other services to accredited stakeholders.ย 

The Event Services Training Associate is a productive and organized training professional responsible for coordinating and administering the training program for Event Service paid staff and volunteers for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Gamesย ensuring a memorable experience for all.ย 

This role is integral to guarantee the smooth delivery of the Event Services workforce and will oversee the logistical planning, delivery and reporting forย training sessions. The Training Specialist is a key member of the Event Services and Central Management Teams for venue support and ensuring staff readinessย 

Key Responsibilitiesย 

  • Support the training project plan under the guidance of the EVS Training Manager
  • Work with the Event Services Venue Management Team to create and deliver training material
  • Coordinate training schedule, arrange necessary equipment and schedule training roomsย 
  • Administer training invitations, log attendee RSVPs, and track session attendance in the systemย 
  • Coordinate the printing, and distribution of training materialsย 
  • Ensure quality services and equipment for training delivery. Check and test classroom setups, presentation equipment, and supply levels prior to training sessions to ensure a functional learning environment
  • Track, store, and organize training supplies and resources, flagging low inventory to the manager
  • Prepare and deliver training material to large audiences
  • Compile attendance reports including no show rates for the training manager
  • Support EVS Venue teams with Event and Workforce Operations on venue with hands-on event setup, workforce check-ins, and daily operational support leading up and during Games Time.
  • Perform another operational and administrative duties as assignedย 

Background and Requirementsย 

  • Proven experience (2+ years) working in events, customer service and/or training organizations
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant work experience
  • Experience in creating and implementing engaging and compelling training material for large cohorts
  • Experience or knowledge of local market will be an added benefit
  • Builds credibility, respect, and trust with others through depth of understanding and knowledge
  • Provides creative and innovative solutions
  • Excellent English skills, including writing, communication, and presentationย 

Physicalย Requirementsย and Working Conditions

  • Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.
  • The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
  • The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.
  • Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.
  • Perform other duties as required; the role will evolveย

The annual base salary range for this position is $30.29-$35.00/hour. The pay scaleย providedย is the range that LA28ย reasonably expectsย to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensationย remainsย subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28's operational business needs and applicable law.ย
