About the Role:
As a Test & Validation Co-Op within our Mechatronics rotational program, your mission is to develop the foundational skills required to become a world class Validation Engineer in the automotive ADAS Systems industry. You will support the product validation lifecycle, from the RFQ phase to final customer acceptance, learning how to ensure our cutting-edge ADAS systems meet rigorous reliability standards.
Responsibilities Also Include:
Under the mentorship of senior engineers, you will:
  • Validation Planning: Assist in analyzing customer specifications and defining validation plans that meet both customer and Valeo quality targets.
  • Test Execution: Learn to use bench equipment and laboratory tools (thermal chambers, IPx) to understand delivered products and identify failures.
  • Technical Tools: Gain hands-on experience in developing test scripts using NI LabVIEW and TestStand under the guidance of the Methods & Tools team.
  • Problem Management: Support the "Device Under Test" (DUT) failure analysis process and participate in weekly reviews with the project team.
  • Reporting: Assist in generating test reports, conducting data peer-reviews, and maintaining project dashboards.
  • Lab Efficiency: Contribute to the automation of test environment processes and the improvement of laboratory instruction sheets.

What You Should Have:
  • Currently a student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering
  • A strong desire to specialize in National Instruments tools (LabVIEW/TestStand) and programming languages like Python or Java.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to read and interpret technical documents or schematics.
  • Agility: A "think on your feet" attitude with the ability to react quickly to technical issues.
  • Teamwork: A methodical and self-motivated team player comfortable in a multinational environment.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills for reporting and peer collaboration.
