Job Description:

Duties: Coordinates and plans all factory tours. 

Prepares tour guide work schedules ensuring appropriate number of tour guides are available for scheduled tours. 

Compiles data necessary to prepare files or create standard and special reports using defined formats. 

Performs office administrative duties including correspondence, invoicing, filing, bill payment, and reporting. 

Acts as the Company representative during factory tours and events. 

Trains tour guides on tour routes and appropriate information to provide guests. 


Major Duties:

Workers will provide tours for Dealers, schools, families, and customers. 

Training will be provided on client, client history, exhibits, and QC area. 

Schedule is very flexible. Most Tour Guides work anywhere from 4-12 hours a week as need or as available. 

Current Tour Guide shifts are M-F 9:00 am - 1:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm; Sat 10:00 am - 1:30 pm and; 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm, and Sun 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm. 

Beginning in November shifts will be split M-F 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm, and 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. 

Guides are requested to work occasional weekends and holidays - on a rotational basis. 

Tour Guides may also be requested to provide VIP tours and assist with special events. 

The three major events at the Pavilion are: Learn and Play Day in July, the Tractor Show in September, and Craft Day every 3rd Sat of the month. 

Qualifications

Requirements: 

  • Candidates must have strong customer service skills. 
  • An ideal candidate will have any or all of the following: a lot of knowledge about client through work experience, family, or research, experience in education or training, and/or experience working with/educating children. 
  • Computer skills are not necessary.
