Job description

Company introduction

Join our team where you'll design and develop command-line tools, developer productivity utilities, and automation pipelines that simplify developer experience.

Role summary / purpose

This is a hands-on senior engineering role focused on Golang CLI tooling and DevOps pipelines. The goal of this role is to enable developers to spend less time maintaining testing hardware pipelines and more time innovating. You will bring strong technical depth and practical experience building developer infrastructure and automation tools, not just application features.

Key responsibilities
  • Design and implement functionalities for Golang-based command-line tools.
  • Develop and implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Write technical specifications for new features and improvements.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to process improvements, CI/CD pipelines, and toolchain upgrades.
  • Lead the end-to-end development process with a focus on clean code and maintainability, ensuring the codebase is modular and adheres to SOLID principles.
  • Perform deep code reviews that focus on logic, long-term maintainability, and extensibility of features.
  • Own the production environment with a proactive approach to reliability, including setting up structured logging, distributed tracing, and meaningful SLIs/SLOs.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) after incidents and implement preventative measures.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive automated testing strategy, including unit tests, integration tests using test containers, end-to-end (E2E), and contract testing.
Requirements – education & experience
  • Senior Software Engineer with 8 years total engineering experience.
  • 8 years production Golang development focused on CLI/DevOps/API work.
  • Strong hands-on engineering background, not people-management or architect-only roles.
  • Proven track record building developer tooling and automation pipelines.
Required skills
  • Golang CLI tooling and DevOps pipelines development.
  • Application development with focus on clean code and maintainability.
  • Comprehensive automated testing strategy implementation (unit, integration, E2E, contract testing).
  • Docker containerization best practices, including multi-stage builds, container security, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Static analysis tools such as SonarQube and CI/CD pipeline integration.
  • Observability practices including structured logging, distributed tracing, and SLI/SLO definition.
