Job Summary:

They are seeking an experienced Network Tools Administrator to support a key government customer by updating servers, monitoring network performance, and providing operations support.
Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch network monitoring and management tools.
• Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and manage alerts for network anomalies.
• Set up and manage alerts for network anomalies, ensuring a timely response.
• Ensure that all changes to the network inventory are accurately recorded and updated in real-time.
• Work closely with network engineers, IT support teams, and other stakeholders to ensure network inventory needs are met.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years of experience.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools such as OpenText NOM, Nagios, PRTG Network Monitor, Wireshark, etc.
• Ability to create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and policies.
• Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
Preferred:
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
• Strong data analysis skills to generate actionable insights from network data.
