Job description

We are seeking a part-time Box Office Sales Associate who will greet and assist guests of the Civic Center Music Hall and Hudiburg Chevrolet Center with event ticket purchases. Box Office Sales Associate will work to process, fulfill and distribute event ticket orders for a variety of performances in various venues. The position will primarily utilize Paciolan ticketing software with some navigation in Ticketmaster.

Job functions will include but are not limited to:

  • Processing ticket orders, ticket reprints, payments and update account information as needed
  • Accurately managing cash and credit transactions in both slow and fast-paced environments.
  • Acting as facility reception presenting a friendly persona to the public while maintaining the policies and procedures of the Civic Center Foundation and its user groups
  • Professionally answering a public phone line and fielding a variety of questions
  • Providing exceptional customer service to patrons at all times
  • Special projects including ticketing mail-outs and preparation of will call
  •  Working irregular shifts dependent upon performance calendar
  • Reading seating maps for multiple venues
  • Working with a computer screen for the duration of the shift
  • Greeting and directing guests in the Civic Center Music Hall Lobby
  • Assisting guests with special needs.
  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • Ability to understand and communicate in conversational English and follow written and verbal instruction (Additional language proficiency encouraged to apply)
  • Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills with a positive attitude
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize while maintaining attention to detail
  • Previous cash handling and/or customer service experience preferred
  • Previous ticket office experience preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in basic computer navigation
  • Paciolan and/or Ticketmaster (Archtics) experience preferred
  • Must be enthusiastic and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be excited to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
