Production Supervisor
Shift: Night Shift (6:30PM-7AM, 2-2-3 rotating)
Location: Benson, NC
Our client is hiring a Production Supervisor to lead operations in a heavy industrial nonwoven manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include:
- Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations
- Conduct safety inspections and audits
- Participate in emergency response activities and maintain required certifications
- Lead shift operations to meet production, quality, and efficiency goals
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Communicate production priorities and schedule changes to the team
- Conduct shift handoff meetings and support daily operational planning
- Monitor product quality throughout production
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and operating procedures
- Support investigations and corrective actions for quality issues and customer concerns
- Coach, mentor, and develop hourly production employees
- Provide performance feedback and accountability
- Support hiring, training, performance management, and employee development
- Foster teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance
- Lead waste reduction and process improvement initiatives
- Promote workplace organization and operational excellence
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a production environment
Preferred:
- Manufacturing leadership experience in heavy industrial nonwoven manufacturing or related continuous process industries (textiles, paper, converting)
- SAP experience
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
