Job description

SolomonEdwards partnering with a global textile manufacturing company in Durham, NC to identify Electrical/Controls Technicians to join their team. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing electrical systems, controls, and production equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.


This is a direct-hire, full-time position in Durham, NC.


Shift Options:

  • Day Shift: 6am-3pm, M-F
  • Night Shift: 8pm- 6am, M - F


What you can expect in this role:

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, control circuits, and production equipment
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment
  • Install, maintain, and modify electrical control systems and components
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Diagnose issues using HMI displays and system data to determine corrective actions
  • Support installation, startup, and validation of new or modified equipment


Compensation & Benefits:

  • A pay rate of up to $42/hr (dependent upon years of experience & qualifications)
  • + a $2/hr shift differential if working the night shift

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment


The hiring process is:

  • Complete a 30-minute pre-screen with a recruiter at SolomonEdwards
  • Complete on-site maintenance assessment (30-minutes)
  • Interview with hiring manager (same day as assessment^)
