Description
Parkland Properties of Michigan is a real estate development and holding company that aquires, develops, owns and manages properties throughout West Michigan. These properties include vacant land developments, adaptive reuse of historic buildings, office buildings, apartments, condominiums, retail, renatal properties, and hospitality.
Parkland Properties is searching for a Building Relations and Leasing Agent for its growing apartment portfolio in Muskegon.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the leasing of 512 apartments between 3 complexes.
  • Present information to prospective renters in a professional manner to appeal to their rental needs.
  • Prepare and administer leases, including abstracting lease terms, tracking critical dates and ensuring lease compliance for all properties.
  • Support the leasing process, including overseeing showings, processing applications, collecting security deposits etc.
  • Track and report income expenses while providing accurate financial reports to ownership.
  • Develop and execute approved marketing strategies to attract qualified tenants, including online listings, social media, local advertising and community outreach.
  • Address tenant inquiries, concerns and complaints promptly, ensuring positive and productive tenant relations.
  • Oversee move in and move outs, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and the property is prepared for new residents.
  • Track and report income and expenses with accounting team while providing accurate monthly financial reports.
  • Oversee rent collection, ensuring timely payments and manage late fees.
  • Monitor competitive properties and industry trends to ensure competitive pricing and property engagement.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • In coordination with the maintenance team ensure that all aspects of the property including common areas and individual units are in excellent condition.
  • Handle tenant evictions in compliance with applicable laws, ensuring all legal procedures are followed.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
  • Prepare regular update correspondence to the communities about events and important updates.
