Job description

Weโ€™re seeking an experienced and motivated Community Property Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure resident satisfaction, and maintain financial and operational goals at our property/community.

Position Summary

The Community Property Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the property, including leasing, collections, resident relations, maintenance oversight, budgeting, and staff leadership. This role requires a balance of operational expertise, financial acumen, and customer service skills to ensure the community runs smoothly and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Administration

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Monitor occupancy, rental income, delinquency, and expenses.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly property performance reports.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage property budgets.
  • Monitor rent collections, follow up on delinquencies, and enforce lease agreements.
  • Approve invoices, purchase orders, and control operational expenses.

Leasing & Marketing

  • Supervise leasing efforts to maximize occupancy and rental rates.
  • Ensure property tours, leasing documents, and move-in/move-out processes are handled professionally.
  • Collaborate with marketing to implement outreach and resident retention strategies.

Maintenance Oversight

  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely work orders and preventive maintenance.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to uphold quality and safety standards.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and supervise on-site staff (leasing agents, housekeepers, maintenance teams, etc.).
  • Provide performance feedback and coaching to support team growth.
  • Foster a positive, service-oriented work environment.

Resident Relations

  • Build strong relationships with residents, addressing concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Plan and support community events to encourage resident engagement.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager (multi-family)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of property management software (Onesite).
  • Budgeting, financial reporting, and collections experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
